High Commission’s bus wrapping initiative gathers more applause towards the close

The initiative greeted by millions, a step forward in our cultural diplomacy: Syed Ibne Abbas

As the bus wrapping initiative of the Pakistan High Commission London is coming to an end next week, it continues to amass more and more applause from the viewers—tourists, pedestrians, motorists, and social media users. The visual impact of the buses has been widely hailed in the mainstream as well as social media where millions have shared the beautiful images of the fully wrapped buses bordered with the famous truck art of Pakistan. Even after several weeks, the buses are still trending on the social media in a big way.

The Pakistan High Commission London started the Pakistan branding campaign on London’s iconic double decker buses under the theme“Emerging Pakistan”, about three weeks ago. The purpose was to promote tourism in Pakistan by attracting more and more foreign tourists. Fully wrapped double decker buses have been showcasing the pristine beauty of Pakistan with its highest peaks, beautiful landscape, rare fauna, monuments representing ancient civilization, magnificent architecture and rich, diverse culture of Pakistan.

Speaking about the initiative, H.E. Syed Ibne Abbas, Pakistan High Commissioner to the UK said: “Pakistan branding on London’s double decker buses has been greeted by millions who have seen the buses running on the roads of Central London and on the social media. It is a step forward in our cultural diplomacy. I hope this initiative would attract foreign tourists to our country, especially northern areas, and help show the real image of Pakistan to the world.”
